The computing and disseminating reference rate for USD/INR and exchange rate of other major currencies is now being carried out by Financial Benchmarks India Private Limited (FBIL), which was earlier done by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
FBIL has been compiling and publishing the reference and exchange rates with effect from 10th July, 2018.
These rates are published in FBIL's official website on a daily basis except on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays in Mumbai.
Reference rates as on 31st December, 2020 as published by FBIL are given hereunder:
INR / 1 USD = 73.0536
INR / 1 GBP = 99.5974
INR / 1 EUR = 89.7931
INR / 100 JPY = 70.84
Reference rates as on 1st January, 2021 as published by FBIL are given hereunder:
INR / 1 USD = 73.0328
INR / 1 GBP = 99.8018
INR / 1 EUR = 89.2271
INR / 100 JPY = 70.70
