No Objection Certificate (NOC) Format for Water Connection

A person has to apply to the concerned local administrative authority (panchayat or municipal corporation) by following the due procedure to get a new water connection.

In addition to the submission of the application form, there are certain other supporting documents which need to be submitted as well.

One of such documents, in case the applicant is a tenant/lessee, is an NOC - No Objection Certificate from the owner of the building or land for the water connection. Along with the NOC, a copy of rental lease agreement is also required.

Hereunder are templates of no objection certificates for water connections. Modify as necessary.

SAMPLE #1

TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN

This is to certify that I, (Name of the Owner/Landlord), aged .... years, son/daughter of (Name of the Father), presently residing at (Full Address), have no objection for release of a new water connection by (Name of the Local Authority) to the tenant i.e. (Name of the Tenant) at the premises (Full address of the premises for which water connection is applied for), being the owner of this land/plot.

SAMPLE #2

TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN

I, (Name of the Owner/Landlord), aged .... years, son/daughter of (Name of the Father), presently residing at (Full Address) do hereby solemnly declare and affirm as under that:

1. I am the legal owner of the property at (Address);

2. (Name of the Tenant), aged ....., son/daughter of ................, has taken the aforesaid property on rent/lease under a rental/lease agreement dated ..........;

3. (Name of the Tenant) has informed me that he/she is in the process of applying for a new water connection for the aforesaid property;

4. I have no objection for release of a new water connection by (Name of the Local Authority) to the tenant i.e. (Name of the Tenant) at the aforesaid property;

5. There is no dispute on the aforesaid property and there is no stay from any court of law against obtaining water connection;

6. The sanction of water connection for the aforesaid property does not acknowledge or confer any title, ownership or occupancy right in favour of the tenant i.e. the applicant for the new water connection;

7. I undertake to pay the charges for the water connection regularly on-time and in the event of non-payment, the connection may be disconnected with or without any notice.

I hereby declare that all the information given herein above is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief, and if any discrepancies are found, I will be responsible for disconnection of said water connection services and any other legal taken as may be taken in this connection.
