Stamp Duty on Indemnity Bond: List for all States & UTs in India

In accordance with the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 read with the laws for stamp duty of respective States and Union Territories, the stamp duty is required to be paid in case of indemnity bond.

Stamp duty on Indemnity Bond: The same duty as a security Bond (No: 48) for the same amount.

Article 34 - Stamp duty on Indemnity Bond:

Article 57 - Stamp duty on Security Bond:

Chhattisgarh

Article 57 - Stamp duty on Security Bond:
(a) when the amount secured does not exceed Rs. 5,000: The same duty as a Bond (No. 15) for the amount secured,
(b) in any other case: Rs. 250.

Article 15 - Stamp duty on a Bond:
On the amount or value secured: 2% of such amount or value.

  Provided that if the value or the amount is not a multiple of rupees ten it shall be rounded off to the nearest multiple of rupees ten, five rupees and over being counted as ten rupees and less than five rupees being disregarded.
