Application Request Letter for Transmission of Shares (Format)

Transmission of shares means transfer of shares by operation of law. Here, the rights or title to shares is devolved from a shareholder to another person(s) because of his death, bankruptcy, marriage, etc reasons.

The surviving shareholder (if it was a joint shareholding) or the nominee of the deceased shareholder or the legal heir(s) of the deceased shareholder will have to make an application to the company along with the required documentary proofs and other documents for completing the transmission process.

1. Original share certificate(s) for the entire shareholding of the deceased;

2. Death certificate of the deceased in original / attested copy;

3. Copy of Succession Certificate or Probate of Will or Letter of Administration or Court decree, certified by the issuing Court;

4. Indemnity Bond duly attested/notarised on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper (NJS) of Rs. ..../- executed by those legal heirs in whose names shares are to be transmitted;

5. Affidavit on NJS of Rs. ..../- from those legal heirs who are claiming the shares duly affirmed by S.E.M/ Notary Public/ Oaths Commissioner;

6. No Objection Certificate from all the other legal heirs who relinquish their rights on the shares. NOC is on NJS of Rs. ..../- affirmed by S.E.M./Notary/Oaths Commissioner or a copy of Family Settlement Deed duly notarized in case of absence of Succession certificate or Letters of Administration or Probate of Will or Will or Court Decree is provided;
