Section 8 (Special exceptions) under the Part II (Limitation of Suits, Appeals and Applications) of the Limitation Act 1963

❝Nothing in section 6 or in section 7 applies to suits to enforce rights of pre-emption, or shall be deemed to extend, for more than three years from the cessation of the disability or the death of the person affected thereby, the period of limitation for any suit or application.❞

The Limitation Act, 1963 was amended by the:
- the Repealing and Amending Act, 1964 (Act No. 52 of 1964);
- the Limitation (Amendment) Act, 1969 (Act No. 10 of 1969);
- the Repealing and Amending Act, 1974 (Act No. 56 of 1974);
- the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Act, 1976 (Act No. 104 of 1976);
- the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Act, 1999 (Act No. 46 of 1999).
