Section 27 of ESI Act 1948: Grant by the Central Government

Section 27 (Grant by the Central Government) under the Chapter III (Finance and Audit) of the Employees’ State Insurance Act 1948

❝The Central Government shall, every year during the first five years, make a grant to the Corporation of a sum equivalent to two-thirds of the administrative expenses of the Corporation not including therein the cost of any benefits provided by or under this Act.❞



Section 27 was OMITTED by the Employees’ State Insurance (Amendment) Act, 1966 (44 of 1966) s. 12 (w.e.f. 17-6- 1967).
