Section 22 (Continuing breaches and torts) under the Part III (Computation of Period of Limitation) of the Limitation Act 1963

❝In the case of a continuing breach of contract or in the case of a continuing tort, a fresh period of limitation begins to run at every moment of the time during which the breach or the tort, as the case may be, continues.❞

The Limitation Act, 1963 was amended by the:
- the Repealing and Amending Act, 1964 (Act No. 52 of 1964);
- the Limitation (Amendment) Act, 1969 (Act No. 10 of 1969);
- the Repealing and Amending Act, 1974 (Act No. 56 of 1974);
- the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Act, 1976 (Act No. 104 of 1976);
- the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Act, 1999 (Act No. 46 of 1999).
