Sec 139, Patents Act 1970: Other provisions of Act to apply to Convention Applications

Section 139 (Other provisions of Act to apply to convention applications) under Chapter XXII (International Arrangements) of the Patents Act, 1970 ⦂―

❝Save as otherwise provided in this Chapter, all the provisions of this Act shall apply in relation to a convention application and a patent granted in pursuance thereof as they apply in relation to an ordinary application and a patent granted in pursuance thereof.❞

The Patents Act, 1970 was amended by :
- the Patents (Amendment) Act, 1999 (No. 17 of 1999);
- the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2002 (No. 38 of 2002);
- the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 (No. 15 of 2005).
