Section 75, Patents Act 1970: Restriction on employees of patent office

Section 75 (Restriction on employees of patent office as to right or interest in patents) under Chapter XIV (Patent Office and its Establishment) of the Patents Act, 1970 ⦂―

❝All officers and employees of the patents office shall be incapable, during the period for which they hold their appointments, to acquire or take, directly or indirectly, except by inheritance or bequest, any right or interest in any patent issued by that office.❞

- the Patents (Amendment) Act, 1999 (No. 17 of 1999);
- the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2002 (No. 38 of 2002);
- the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 (No. 15 of 2005).
