Sec 28A, Copyright Act 1957: Term of Copyright in Works of Public Undertakings

Section 28A (Term of copyright in works of public undertakings) under Chapter V (Term of Copyright) of the Copyright Act 1957

❝In the case of a work, where a public undertaking is the first owner of the copyright therein, copyright shall subsist until sixty years from the beginning of the calendar year next following the year in which the work is first published.❞

Notes:

(1) Section 28A of the Copyright Act 1957 was inserted by the Copyright (Amendment) Act 1983 (No. 23 of 1983), sec. 11, w.e.f. 9-Aug-1984.

(2) Section 28A of the Copyright Act 1957 was amended by the Copyright (Amendment) Act 1992 (No. 13 of 1992), sec. 2, w.e.f. 28-Dec-1991.
