Section 27, Copyright Act 1957: Term of Copyright in Sound Recording

Section 27 (Term of copyright in sound recording) under Chapter V (Term of Copyright) of the Copyright Act 1957

❝In the case a sound recording copyright shall subsist until sixty years from the beginning of the calendar year next following the year in which the sound recording is published.❞

Notes:

Section 27 of the Copyright Act 1957 was amended by:
- the Copyright (Amendment) Act 1992 (No. 13 of 1992), sec. 2, w.e.f. 28-Dec-1991;
- the Copyright (Amendment) Act 1994 (No. 38 of 1994), sec. 2, w.e.f. 10-May-1995.
