Sec 96, Trade Marks Act 1999: Chairperson's Power to transfer cases

Section 96 (Power of Chairperson to transfer cases from one Bench to another) under Chapter XI (Appellate Board) of Trade Marks Act 1999 ⦂‒

❝On the application of any of the parties and after notice to the parties, and after hearing such of them as he may desire to be heard, or on his own motion without such notice, the Chairperson may transfer any case pending before one Bench, for disposal, to any other Bench.❞

(1) For the word "Chairman" or "Vice-Chairman", wherever it occurs, the word "Chairperson" or "Vice-Chairperson" were substituted by the Finance Act, 2017 (No. 7 of 2017), s.161, (w.e.f. 26-May-2017).
