Section 83 (Establishment of Appellate Board) under Chapter XI (Appellate Board) of Trade Marks Act 1999 ⦂‒

❝The Central Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, establish an Appellate Board to be known as the Intellectual Property Appellate Board to exercise the jurisdiction, powers and authority conferred on it by or under this Act and under the Copyright Act, 1957 (14 of 1957).❞

Notes:

In section 83, after the words "under this Act", the words and figures "and under the Copyright Act, 1957" were inserted by the Finance Act, 2017 (No. 7 of 2017), sec. 161 (w.e.f. 26-May-2017).
