Section 11, Contract Act 1872: Who Are Competent To Contract

Section 11 under Chapter II (of contracts, voidable contracts and void agreements) of the Contract Act, 1872 of India - 'Who are competent to contract', is reproduced hereunder:—

“Every person is competent to contract who is of the age of majority according to the law to which he is subject, and who is of sound mind and is not disqualified from contracting by any law to which he is subject.”

(1) Refer the Indian Majority Act, 1875 (9 of 1875) to know more about the age of majority according to the law of India.
