Section 7, Minimum Wages Act, 1948: Advisory Board

Section 7 (Advisory Board) of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, reads as follows:—

“For the purpose of co-ordinating the work of committees and sub-committees appointed under section 5 and advising the appropriate Government generally in the matter of fixing and revising minimum rates of wages, the appropriate Government shall appoint an Advisory Board.”

Extra Notes for Readers

(1) The words “committees and sub-committees appointed under section 5” were substituted for “committees, sub-committees, advisory committees and the advisory sub-committees appointed under sections 5 and 6” by the Minimum Wages (Amendment) Act, 1957 (30 of 1957), s. 6.
