State/UT wise Aadhaar Saturation Crossed 83% of India Population (Stats as on 30th September, 2016)
Aadhar enrollment has been progressing successfully and has covered majority of the population of India. The latest stats published by Unique Identification Authority of India for State/UT wise Aadhaar Saturation as on 30th September, 2016 shows that the enrollments have crossed 83% of the total population of India. Total Population(projected 2015) is 1,278,229,800 whereas no. of Aadhars Assigned is 1,061,431,991.
Age-wise analysis of the Aadhar saturation as on 30th September, 2016 is as follows:
Aadhaar Saturation in 0 < 5 Years Age band - 28.2% (Population-119,160,296 & Aadhar-33,574,860)
Aadhaar Saturation in 5 < 18 Years Age band - 67.8% (Population-350,025,759 & Aadhar-237,289,351)
Aadhaar Saturation in >18 Years Age band - 98.3% (Population-804,431,255 & Aadhar-790,567,780)
